I am very excited to say we have a great new group of Year 7’s. They have shown up with great enthusiasm and there are whole bunch of great characters amongst them. I think God has really given me a heart for them and bonded me to them very early on. Because I got to know them early there was an anticipation for my classes they were very excited and already had a whole bunch of questions for me.

This was partly because in some classes, such as History, they already started asking “Who were the first humans? Where did we come from?” The bell was just about to go so I raised my hand and said “These are all great questions! Hold onto them and we will discuss them in my class!”

The class then spilled out into the playground where they all started surrounding me and asking the questions and building the buzz for my classes even more. So I have been very blessed with these Year 7’s and am thinking I will try to start the year like this every time!

 
Praise Points: Great new students and an instant repose with them.

 
Prayer Points: For Jesus to break through into the darkness in some of the older students lives, and show them who He really is.
